Church, crackers, cell phones...
Before I explain the cool title of the blog I should update you all on my life. Sam's mom is out here. I love it when she comes. She plays with the kids and I have someone to hang out with during the day and she smiles so much. It's just good.
We went to get her on Friday and spent the day with Jill and her family. It is always fun watching the kids play together. Man they play hard and exciting. It's funny. I have no idea where they get the energy they have. We certainly don't feed them good enough to give them all that energy. (I really shouldn't admit that.)
We had a party on Memorial Day. It was crazy fun. Way cool. We had a lot of people swimming in the pool, eating, grilling hamburgers and hot dogs, visiting. We had a great time. There are so many people in our ward that are about our age now. I can't really say young couples... but I like to think that's what we are. Some of them still are, some of them are like us.
Okay, let's talk about crackers and cell phones at church. There is a lady in our ward who is different than many people I know. One example- one Sunday the stake president (I think) was speaking in Sacrament meeting. He was quoting a general conference talk alot and in the middle of the meeting she raised her hand and asked what talk it was and how she could get it. And would he please repeat the quote he had just said because she didn't hear all of it. She is very excited to learn. (Not a bad thing, and I think he said they could speak about how to get the 'talk' after the meeting.) And she is very excited to share the gospel, which is great. She has no fear of doing that. There are things you just have to admire her for and others you just gotta wonder about.
Well today she gave Slade and Scott a snack bag of crackers. And the boys ate them for awhile. When they stopped eating them constantly she reached and took them back and put them into her purse. OK- Whatever. We didn't worry about it, the boys didn't notice, and we just wondered. Then close to the end of sacrament meeting her cell phone rang. It rings at least every week. I was in the process of rolling my eyes when Slade just popped up and started looking around and said, "The ice cream man!" Cell phones can bring joy to the soul of a bored son in a long meeting. It was great.
Life is good in South Carolina, though we would like more visitors. Come! Come!

I want to come. It would be so fun to bring my whole family out. Not really feasible with the whole farm animals thing but lots of fun. Perhaps my other son could get called to your mission. I am already planning a trip to Washington to get Kaber. The pool party sounds fabulous. That is another reason I want to come. I love swimming. I love you. Later
Funny lady... I thought there were only crazies in Spanish, but there are obviously crazies in English. You should take her a bag of crackers next week, then take it away when she stops eating.
Go swimming for me! I love swimming and I love being a "young married couple."
