Just Rambling
It's coming closer. My visit to family and friends I haven't seen for so long. I get to see friends in Las Vegas and Cedar and my family in St. George. I am so excited. Sam has never even met Susan's youngest. And my Scott is so old you wouldn't recognise him if not for the web pictures. Just a few more whiles.
I found some of my friends on blogspot too. It's way cool. Now they can hide nothing from me. Oh, and Sam says he may start writing a little. Things just get more and more exciting every day.
It's been a fun week with Sam. I do have to say I love his 7 days off. They are fun for me and the boys. After the week at home the boys have a really hard time getting used to the idea that dad has a job again. One morning that Sam was gone when Slade came in he started crying and said, "Dad not here. Dad gone." He thought life had ended. But that was only one day of work. We had a good week. Sam taught the Sunday School lesson and made lunch with/for the boys. Then he played in the fort with them (Slade's bed covered with blankets). He is just good for everyone.
Tonight he went back to work. He works Friday and Saturday night's, maybe part of Sunday night, Monday-Thursday 6am-7pm, either Friday or Saturday, then Sunday. Sometimes home seems so calm.
We changed to DIRECTV so we could have DVR. That system is so cool. But the DIRECTV is awful. When we called Dish Network to tell them that we were cancelling because of the deal we got with the DVR they offered us one too and we get to go back to something I love. Yeah!
Anyway, I should be off to wake up Slade and feed the boys. We tried to get Slade to take a nap all afternoon but he wouldn't slow down. He fell asleep on the 3 minute drive home from Walmart. Then he walked in the house and put his head on the couch and slept. He was still standing up. Crazy child. Someday these boys will be as excited about the opportunity to sleep as they are about the opportunity to eat Halloween candy. Just not yet.
